The Last Visit to Neta Jean McTait Nadin and her Family (Summer 1997)In the Summer of 1997, Linda and I travelled to England to see her mother in Hollywood, near Birmingham, who was seriously ill and who was to die on September 11th of that year. We also saw a lot of her big brother who had taken the time to look after her. We also saw Marjory McTait Shaylor and her family. Her husband was at the hospital when we arrived and passed away soon after. Neta's youngest son came for the funeral and camped with his family in his mother's backyard. This meant that she had for that occasion her two sons and her daughter with her, as well as her youngest son's wife and daughter, and her son-in-law. I assume that this was also the last occasion that three of the sisters McTait were photographed together, in the Shaylor's lounge. Those photographs were taken by the son of the deceased. I have also included three other photographs taken in the next while after our trip. One is of Linda and I, which shows clearly that she was my ray of sunshine, one where she is sitting on our porch, and then two photographs of her with her beloved Shih-Tzu Mopsy, in the latter's dog park, for which we fought tooth and nail.
