Mary R. Celia Poyfair and her Family

Mary R. Celia Poyfair, daughter of Jeremiah Poyfair and Ellen Flynn, was born circa 1835.

Celia married Richard Southard. As she was a widow living with her children at her step-father's place in Lockport, Niagara County, New York State, at the time of the 1880 US Census, and as her three children were between 16 and 12 years of age, it is reasonable to assume that she had married around 1863 and that her husband had died some time soon after the 1870 Census. Celia and Richard had three children:

  1. George B. Southard. He was born circa 1864 in New York State. He was then working.

  2. Mary E. Southard. She was born circa 1866 in New York State and was then at school.

  3. Francis Southard. She was born circa 1868 in New York State and was then at school.
