Joseph Poyfair and his Family

Joseph Poyfair was born around 1851 in Lower Canada (Québec). He was the son of Case Poyfair and Mary UNKNOWN. He was a Stone Cutter at the 1880 US Census working in Mason City, Iowa. He died on 23 December 1926 in Kansas City, Missouri.

Joseph married on 5 December 1871 in Manson City, Iowa, Elizabeth Curtis Ricker, who was born in on 15 August 1853 in Maine. She died in 1904 in Kansas City, Missouri.

Joseph and Elizabeth had three children with them:

  1. Ida Mary Clifton Poyfair, born in Wisconsin around 1872;
  2. George C. Poyfair, born in Canada around 1876;
  3. Elvira E. Poyfair, born in Iowa around 1879.
