He married Margaret Kearney (Carney), who was, according to the 1880 US Census for Detroit, Michigan, was born around 1842 but in Ireland (!)He was then a Silver-Burnisher. His wife Margaret was said to have been born around 1842 in Connecticut. She died aged 68 on April 12 1906 in Chatham. (This act is found further on.)

3. Agnes Keoughan born in Connecticut around 1874 if the name is wrong according to the US 1880 Census for Detroit, Michigan and married in Chatham on 28 January 1893 William Holt, son of Hael Holt and Ellen Bagley.
