The family of Peter McKechnie, father of Agnes McKechnie

As we will see by examination of 3 Censuses, Peter McKechnie had only one child, a daughter called Agnes McKechnie, who married James McDaid Junior, also from Glasgow, on the 16th of February 1871. (This Act is found further down.) For more on them and their family, press HERE. .

From Agnes McKechnie' baptism, we can see that she was the daughter of Peter Mc Eachnie and of Maria Francis Hay, born on the 19th of January 1850 and baptized on the 28th. (This Act is found further down.)

Her parents were buried in the Roman Catholic Cemetary of St. Peter's in Dalbeth. Her mother was the owner of the Cemetary plot. She died of Bronchitis at the age of 47 and was buried on September 21st, 1871. (This Act is found further down.) Her husband died also at 47 of a stroke (Apoplexy) and was buried with his wife exactly on year later: on September 21st 1871. (This Act is found further down.)
